Omarosa Manigault Newman shared some of her experience in the Trump White House while on “Celebrity Big Brother.”
Manigault Newman is part of the cast on the CBS reality TV show, which places 11 celebrities in a house filled with cameras for two and a half weeks, watching them compete for a $250,000 grand prize.
CBS reported that the former White House aide confided in TV personality Ross Matthews about why she joined the White House staff and what she thinks about the status of the country under President Trump. For Newman Manigault, it was a sense of patriotic duty, not serving Trump.
“I felt like it was a call of duty, I felt like I was serving my country, not serving him,” Manigault Newman said. “Like, I was haunted by tweets every single day, like, ‘What is he gonna tweet next?’”
“All of the people around him attacked me,” she said. “It was like, ‘Keep her away, don’t give her access, don’t let her talk to him.’ It’s like, Ivanka's there, Jared’s there...”

The former “Apprentice” contestant said she tried to prevent Trump from tweeting, but was stopped by others on staff.
“I’d like to say, ‘It’s not my circus, not my monkeys,” Manigault Newman said. “I'’d like to say, ‘Not my problem,’ but I can't say that because it’s bad.”
When Matthews asked for reassurance that things would work out, Manigault Newman couldn’t provide it.
“It’s going to not be OK,” Newman said. “It's not. It’s so bad.”
Manigault Newman left the White House in January after announcing she was leaving her role in December.
In addition to Matthews, Manigault Newman is joined by celebrities Metta World Peace, Brandi Glanville, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Shannon Elizabeth, Mark McGrath, James Maslow, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Ariadna Gutierrez and Chuck Liddell.
