Final days of early voting in special Jacksonville election

Tracye Polson and Nick Howland are seeking the seat vacated by Tommy Hazouri.

Jacksonville, Fl — The race to replace the late Jacksonville City County At-Large Group 3 member Tommy Hazouri Sr. will draw to a close on Tuesday, February 22, the final day of voting.

Early in-person voting is set to end on Sunday. As of early Friday, voter turnout was 9.5%. 36% of ballots cast were in-person.

Democrat Tracye Polson is facing off against Republican Nick Howland. The two finished neck and neck in a special election in mid-December with just 632 votes separating them.

Democrats are outpacing Republicans, 46 to 43%. Nearly 10% of ballots cast were No Party Affiliation.
