Public memorial for the late Young Dolph set for December 16

Following Tuesday's private funeral for the late Young Dolph, a public memorial is set for December 16 in Memphis.

Pastor Earle Fisher told ABC Memphis affiliate WATN-TV that the event will be held at the 19,000 seat FedEx Forum, home of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies.

Young Dolph, born Adolph Thornton, Jr., was buried Tuesday at the Calvary Cemetery in South Memphis. "It was good to see his family, his friends, people who have cared for him come together and remember his life," said Fisher, who spoke at the funeral.

"With all of the pomp and circumstance that elected officials and civic leaders have put around this heinous murder, we could do something to bring the people who have been involved in this to accountability and justice a whole lot sooner," Fisher added.

The murder occurred on November 17, and now, more than two weeks later, there are photos of two suspects, though no arrests have been made.

While authorities search for the suspects, fans continue to mourn Dolph, leaving flowers, balloons, stuffed animals and personal notes at Makeda's Cookies, where he was fatally shot.
