According to WITN, the Chowan County Sheriff's Office released an image of the vehicle Thursday, weeks after authorities discovered the girl, Makiia Slade, dead and her mother, Shatory Slade, hurt in a car near U.S. Highway 17 and West Queen Street shortly after 10 p.m. July 24.

Deputies said newly discovered footage shows the SUV driving behind the Slades' car on Cox Avenue that night, the Chowan Herald reported.
