GREENSBURG, Kan. — Police and firefighters who responded to reports of dynamite on the dashboard of a vehicle found a different item altogether: a beef stick still in its wrapper.
Greensburg police and firefighters as well as Kiowa County Sheriff’s deputies secured the area around the vehicle at 4:46 p.m. before approaching it, KMBC reported.
“It was discovered that the item in question was a beef stick, still in its wrapper,” police said on social media. “There were no explosives in the vehicle and there were not any threats to the public. The vehicle owner removed the suspicious beef stick from the dash.”
