2025 was a BIG year for Hip Hop and R&B as Kendrick Lamar secured Billboard’s Top Hot 100 Songwriter and R&B/Hip Hop Artist of the Year for the very first time.

Also, Kendrick Lamar and other artists like Doechii, Clips Leon Thomas, and Tyler the Creator secured Grammy nominations and even Outkast, and Salt N Pepa were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for their contributions in Hip Hop. Also, let’s not forget about Chris Brown and Breezy Bowl XX and Beyonce and her Cowboy Carter Tour.
