We are approaching the busiest travel time of the year as many of us will be either flying or driving to see loved ones over the holiday season. However, while you are preparing to spend time with friends and loved ones you might want to see how long you should plan your stay because a study says that out of 2,000 Americans house guest tend to overstay their welcome after six days.
Now personally, just the thought of house guest staying after six days is stressing me out and I am not alone because 33% of house guest start dropping hints that they need to wrap up their stay, while 22% will directly tell them “Get Out!” Hopefully, they won’t get the Uncle Phil Treatment like Jazz did on Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
However, family will get a different treatment as kids can stay ten days and parents eight days before being inconvenienced and in-laws and other relatives get the short end of the stick with five days (ouch)!
Regardless of how long your house guest stay the more important thing during the holidays are family and loved ones. So, pull out the board games, turn the music up and enjoy the holidays.
