7 people charged in connection with beating death of single father in Keystone Heights last November

Clay County, FL — On Friday, The Clay County Sheriff’s Office announced they believe everyone connected to the beating death of a single father, Stephen Perry, in Keystone Heights have been arrested. Investigators say seven people in total have been arrested in connection with the incident. Sheriff Michelle Cook says Caleb Roe, Kalvin Roe, Travis Roe, Doug Roe Jr. and Augustino Morales are all charged with murder and Alexsandria McNabb and Jesse Roe are charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

“We truly hope this can help in the closure process for the families who suffered the loss.” Cook says.

Investigators say the incident started on November 21st last year when deputies responded to Bills Way in Keystone Heights and when they arrived they found signs of a struggle but no victim. Later on, they got a call that Perry was found badly beaten on the porch of a home near the Clay/Putnam county line. He was taken to Orange Park Medical Center and later died days later. Deputies say Perry had given McNabb shoes for her son to wear and her boyfriend at the time, Kalvin Roe, became jealous and started making threats to Perry on Facebook messenger and over texts.
