METAIRIE, La. — Louisiana authorities discovered three bodies in a Metairie home Monday night and suspect two of the three deaths are the result of a murder-suicide.

According to a statement released by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies found two people within the Jade Avenue residence who appear to have died from gunshot wounds, while a third deceased person was found in a different room surrounded by evidence of an apparent drug overdose, NOLA.com reported.

It is unclear if all three deaths are related or if the victims who were shot were killed in a separate incident from the overdose victim, WWL reported.

The names of the victims and their relationships to one another are being “withheld at this time for investigative reasons,” according to the sheriff’s office.
